2007-10-29: Unconditional Surrender

When a war ends, you often hear the news people say that one side made an unconditional surrender to the other side. That means there were no conditions to their surrender. When you surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, was it an unconditional surrender? Is there anything that you held back when you gave your life to Jesus? Have you substituted religion for a personal relationship with Him? Have you wasted your life on the trivial? Have you completely surrendered your self-will to Him?

God sent his son Jesus to give you a life of meaning and purpose, but you and I will never discover that purpose until we are willing to go where He wants us to go and do what He wants us to do. We don't want to end up like the man in the hospital who confessed to a pastor. "I robbed me. I robbed me of a life that has a purpose. I robbed me of a life that has adventure. I robbed me of a life that is exciting. I robbed me of a life that is filled with Christ's spirit.

I challenge you to stop being afraid and start being what you were created to be. Let the adventure begin!
